Arriving on the scene in 1978, Animal House is the blockbuster frat house comedy that rewrote all the rules and created a generation of filmmakers hoping to replicate its comic genius. Original Saturday Night Live cast member John Belushi turned in a breakout film performance that made him a comedy rock star, propelling him to further fame with the release of Blues Brothers (1980). Tim Matheson also has his breakout role in the cult classic which features appearances by actors Mark Metcalf (“the Maestro” from Seinfeld), Donald Sutherland, and Kevin Bacon.

While Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is offers some of the most unique accommodations on Disney property, many guests don’t realize that it also offers spectacular dining options. While many of the resorts on property offer pretty standard fare, because of its theme, the Lodge offers some very interesting options for dining. Most guests probably haven’t had much experience with African food and if they haven’t they’re in for a treat. The restaurants at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge are second to none.

The Imagineers, the designers of Animal Kingdom, created an environment of contrasts, of opposites, to enhance the tension between the real and imaginary. This gives you a heightened sense of enjoyment. Understanding how they do that can give you an even better appreciation of what you are experiencing.
